What are supplemental property taxes?
They came in effect in July 1983 as an ambitious drive to aid schools. Supplemental taxes only affect you when you buy a new property or undertake new construction.
It is not easy to predict when you will receive the supplemental tax bill as it depends on the individual county and workload of county assessor office.

All supplemental tax bills are due in two equal installments.
If the bill is mailed within the month of July to Oct 1st installment becomes delinquent on Dec 10th. The 2nd installment becomes delinquent on April 10 of the next year.

If the bill is mailed within the months of Nov to June 1st installment becomes delinquent on last day of the month following the month in which the bill is mailed.
The 2nd installment shall become delinquent the last fourth calender month following the date the 1st installment is delinquent.
